Description:

While riding my electric unicycle near Mission Ranch Blvd and Esplanade in Chico, CA, I encountered a black Jeep Grand Cherokee, California license plate 8JUC728.

The vehicle’s behavior appeared unusual. At the intersection, the Jeep delayed advancing. When traffic opened into two lanes, the vehicle’s lane positioning appeared to affect or obstruct my path. I had not broadcast my intended direction ahead of time, so the lane choice appeared unusual from my perspective.

After the initial interaction, the Jeep continued near me and changed lanes without signaling while I was present. Later, after I had moved on, the driver did signal. The vehicle then followed me down my street, appeared to observe my destination, and made a U-turn to leave, with no apparent business on that street.

A small car also honked during the sequence for unknown reasons. I am noting the horn as contextual only and am not assigning motive.

I am submitting this as a contemporaneous road-safety record. I cannot confirm the driver’s intent, but the conduct appeared unusual and potentially intimidating enough to document in case of future incidents.
