Impatience causes a near miss

While riding slow up hill a driver behind waits for a gap in traffic islands to pass safely.
The driver approaching further behind doesn't want to wait & overtakes on the wrong side of the island almost colliding with the first car as it pulls out. The impatience driver now has nowhere to go as they are blocked on the wrong side of the road & has to pull back in behind the first driver, gaining nothing.
